
Federico Ravazzani
Mr. Ravazzani is a founding partner of Aventino based in Asunción. Prior to founding Aventino, he was the Head of Investment Banking for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay at Itaú, based in Asunción. Before that, Mr. Ravazzani was the Head of Investment Banking for Chile at Itaú, based in Santiago. Before joining Itaú, he was a Regional Executive Director at L Catterton, a private equity fund based in New York. Before joining L Catterton he was Chief Executive Officer of Hydrochile, a renewable energy firm headquartered in Santiago. Prior to moving to Chile, he worked at Eton Park Capital Management in New York, where he was responsible for private investments in Latin America.
Prior to joining Eton Park, Mr. Ravazzani spent 13 years in investment banking, primarily in Latin American mergers and acquisitions based in New York. He was a Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Sponsors at Santander. Previously, he was Head of Southern Cone Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ravazzani was a mergers and acquisitions banker with Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan. Mr. Ravazzani is currently a member of the Investment Committee of FIS II, a venture capital fund based in Santiago, Chile. He has served on the board of directors of several institutions, including Hydrochile (Chile), Allus (Argentina, Colombia and Peru), Navix (Mexico), Tower Fund (Argentina) and ReachingU (Uruguay).
Mr. Ravazzani graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a BA in Economics and International Relations. He also earned an MA from the University of Essex and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Mr. Ravazzani is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
